We love Wildflowers...and this is a great time of year to view them. Our Wildflower week started with a wonderful Sunday excursion to Tony Grove. We had a lovely day for a short hike, and the wildflowers were out and did not disappoint us!
Zach was also searching for cool rocks, so he spent most of his time in this position...
We hope to eventually be able to identify all of the flowers we took pictures of, and make our own "Wildflower Reference Guide" to take with us in the future. But here are a few of the ones we have identified.
Nature's beauty brought out the artists in us. This week we each painted our own rendition of a field of wildflowers. We did a watercolor background, and then used acrylic paints with our fingers and q-tips and toothpicks to make our wildflowers. Yay for our family of van Goghs!
Kind of off the wildflower subject, but the kids enjoyed a little time at the Providence Splashpad.
