John reached that "milestone" this year.
The big question is... Over the Hill? or Life Begins?
John is a hard person to surprise, but I think I did the best possible, and got at least a bit of a surprise out of him. I arranged for a surprise birthday open-house in our back yard. It was a lot of fun. Lots of friends, and a black and white dessert table, great weather!
