It has begun!
Summer is officially in full swing at our house, and so far we have had a lovely time of it. We have broken up our summer into "theme" weeks where we will have everything that week revolve around a theme. We are going to have a blast this summer!
This week's theme was "SPORTS". First thing Monday, we went to the library and checked out some books about sports. Then we began our week BIG with an all out Neighborhood Splash Party in our backyard - thanks to my friend with a fun inflatable water-slide and no grass to put it on! We offered our yard to be the venue, and enjoyed friends, cold water, pizza, melon, popsicles and lots of sun!
To follow our sports theme made a fun "Mini Football Game" craft. Sophie decorated her goal posts with crayon and markers, but the boys liked theirs plain.
Friday we got to participate in the sport of BOWLING! It has been a while since I bowled, and my score showed it (way too many gutter balls). All of the kids did well (thank goodness for gutter rails), and they had fun.
We love doing new things!
