Ready or not, here it is.
During our first official week off of school, (last week in May) most of Cache Valley was still in. So we took the week to just relax and get used to getting along with each other for so many hours again. We also decided it was a perfect opportunity to go thru all our school uniform clothes and take stock of what we need to buy before school starts again. The kids have grown a bunch, so that is a lot!
So our first "real" week of summer I count as the first week in June. No particular themes this year, just random ideas that didn't fit into themes. We will see how that goes.
Week 1 (June 1-5):
Spinner Art! This was a very fun afternoon! I bought a cheap salad spinner and pulled out my paints. Tacked some paper to the bottom of the spinner and let them at it!
Another day we made a visit to Ryan's Place Park. The kids got bored much sooner than they used to.
We also began our Sewing Learning Badge with a project idea and a trip to the fabric store. Stay tuned to see the project we are doing. The kids are really excited about it!
