This year for Christmas, John got "A Year of Dates"
I pre-planned and organized one date for each month of 2014.
The plan is to open the envelope together at the beginning of the month, look at the calendar and decide on a date. So right from the beginning of the month, we'll have a fun date on the calendar to look forward to.

Here was our January Date.
We picked the game night that worked best with our schedule.
Then earlier on the chosen afternoon, we decided to go try out the ice for ourselves.
Not super graceful, but a good workout for the legs.
Of course, the Aggies won! It was fun to re-learn the rules to hockey as we watched.
When the game was over, and we realized that the Aggie Ice Cream place was closed,

we decided that we would have to settle for Twizzleberry Frozen Yogurt instead. :)
We had a wonderful and relaxing time together.
