Harvest 2014

What have I been up to, and why am I so behind with this blog?
Let me sum it up.
Besides raising the kids, back to school, broken arms, and homework...

4 pints strawberry jam
156 pints raspberries picked, frozen, jammed (24 pts), eaten, shared
1 load apricot leather
6 pints apricot jam
1 load plum leather

  16 bags of corn frozen
6 bags of beans frozen
3 bags of broccoli
10 pints of beets pickled
14 quarts of bottled tomatoes
2 quarts of dried Anaheim peppers

Wrapped two shelves worth of Elk meat for the freezer
16 pints of bottled elk meat
2 loads of moose jerky (4 flavors)
(I'll spare you the gruesome elk picture for now...)

 14 quarts of peaches bottled
4 peach cream pies frozen
2 loads of dehydrated peaches
2 loads of dehydrated pears (picked from our tree)

2 loads of dehydrated apples
14 quarts of applesauce
3 quarts of apple juice
(all apples picked from our trees)

6 honeydew melons
10 cantaloupe melons
3 watermelons
8 pumpkins
Oh, and carrots too!

Maybe now I can get to cleaning my house!
And someday I'll get to working on that quilt....  :)
