May Date

Expanding our horizons was fun on this Japanese date.  A double date with Becca and Sam was a great way to spend our evening.  Dinner at the Kabuki Steakhouse was very yummy, if not a little tricky with chopsticks!  We sat at the Hibachi grill and enjoyed the entertainment provided by our chef.

Since we were only a few days from John's birthday, we celebrated Kabuki style... and they gave all of our group a dessert too!

(Check back for a picture of this - it will be worth it!)

We then headed over to Becca and Sam's place to continue the Japanese theme with a fun game of Wok Tok. " Just like a conversation between a husband and wife... it’s not what is SAID, but what is HEARD that matters."   A couple of my favorites were: "Yore Luke Ink Hood", or "Oak Abe Abe".

What Japanese date could be complete without the "Karate Kid!"  Love the 80's version, but for something different, we watched the newer one from 2010 with Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith (Will Smith's kid!)  I really liked it, but both the guys said they prefer the 80's one with Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita.

It was a good time away, as usual.

you can't have a japanese date without a fire dragon roll or at least a california roll! :)
