Find the kid in you!

We have had so much fun getting together as families each month with John's old college roommates. We eat delicious dinners and delectable desserts. The women love to sit and gab, and the guys talk sports or check out the latest honey-do projects they have going. The kids especially have enjoyed playing with each other as they have grown.

There is one kid among them that they have especially had fun with. They call John the "kid adult" and always beg him to come and play with them after dinner. Whether a spirited romp on the Palmer's trampoline, a game of ball, or a bit of dress up, they LOVE him and LOVE that he will play their games! They adore him!

Some of their more recent adventures have challenged John's loyalty to them, but as usual he has risen to the challenge.

Only Klara has not been too sure about her daddy's involvement with these games. She has gotten a little anxious about his appearance.

Hmmm...It seems that Quin must get it from his dad - loyalty and submission to the whims of cute girls!

John makes it look so easy to lay aside an adult's cares and look to that inner child for a bunch of good clean fun. I want to be a little more like that and let myself enjoy the every day simple ways of being with children.
